Cottage House Plans

Have your dream chateau with the perfect cottage home plan.

When you are ready to begin looking at cottage house plans for your dream vacation home, there are several things to keep in mind. One important thing you will need to do is to decide which plan set type best fits your needs.

The number of available plan set types and options may vary according to the specific cottage house plans you desire.

Cottage House Plan Set Types:

Study Set: These are one set of cottage house plans that include building elevations and floor plans only. A study set enables you to see the layout in more detail and to see the home from all four sides. This plan set will be stamped "Not for Construction" as it does not include a license to build the home. (This cost can often be applied towards the future purchase of a Construction Set, Reproducible Set, or CAD File Set.)

You can use the study sets of cottage house plans to:

  • Compare the suitability of 2 or more home designs.
  • Conduct preliminary planning.
  • Obtain accurate quotes from builders or trades people.
  • Determine modifications required to personalize the plan.
  • Develop a site plan to suit your building lot.
