Of course, the type of houseplan you buy will ultimately depend on a number of factors, including your budget, preferences and the dominant style of the community you plan to move to. While some people prefer a house style that is unique from their neighbors, many opt for something more traditional. One of the best ways to figure out what you like is to simply get in your car and drive around for a while. Notice what you like and do not like about your neighbors homes. Write this down. List any features you prefer, including a porch or patio. Also consider where you plan to build your home. This may dictate how large the windows are or what type of exterior will best suite your dream home. Garage PlansGarage plans are slightly different from house plans. You can however buy a garage style home plan. Usually garages are limited to storing equipment or cars. Because the contents of the garage are so varied, so too are the many styles available. Some plans include apartments or other living areas above the structure. This can be very useful for creating an in law suite or guest bedroom or even a rental.
